I’m Sick and All I Want Is French Onion Soup

Well, it’s Monday again.  I hope everyone had a good weekend, I know I did.  I met Andrea from Andrea Out Loud and we had an absolute blast! (We both forgot to take pictures).

Saturday night, I went with my friend Logan to his Master Sales Guild ceremony (he works for BMW) and we had a blast!

Check out our ride.  There are pictures from the reception somewhere, but I have no idea where.

So anyways, I’m sick.  I have some kind of head cold and my eyes are watering like crazy.  Right now, tissues and Day-Quil are my best friends.  Some people want chicken noodle soup when they are sick – but I on the other hand, crave french onion soup.  Ok, really, I crave french onion soup pretty much everyday, but especially when I am sick.

Jessica’s Crockpot French Onion Soup is one of the next things on my list to make (other than the shrimp recipes).  When I discovered that you could make caramelized onions in the crockpot I was excited for days (no really).  As much as I love caramelized onions, they are kind of a pain to make – but making them in a crockpot is a dream come true.  Now, all I need to do is get the ingredients. Hopefully I can today after work depending on how I am feeling.

Question: What are your go-to medicines / foods when you are sick?

  1. Starting the week off on a sick note is such a bummer! I hope you feel better soon.

When I’m sick I usually stick to hot liquids like tea or hot water with lemon. I dunno why, but the warmth of it makes me feel so much better and puts me to sleep too!

  2. Aww hope you feel better! You are a trooper still going to work and all ;)
And when I am sick I usually want grilled cheese and chicken noodle. The grilled cheese is weird, I know but something about it is just delicious and comforting
